In order to be an effective voice in Nicaragua, we need to demonstrate that developers in the sector are responsible and that they adhere to the law, follow the responsible development guidelines, pay their taxes, preserve the environment, support local communities and overall are contributing to the development of Nicaragua. We aim to create, promote and support socially, environmentally and economically responsible practices for the benefit of the local communities of Nicaragua as well as to establish ethical and professional standards in real estate related businesses.
As ANID, we encourage developers to run their operations in ways that play a positive role in the communities so that our message can be a strong one regarding the sector's contribution to Nicaragua.
We have written a proposed ethical code (or responsible development charter) to be followed by our members, because we want them to invest in a responsible manner, respecting the laws, environment and the people in the country. This code will be distributed for signature by our members.
We have formed an alliance with Community REfund, an organization dedicated to support the development of local communities around the country through asset development projects focusing on economic, social and community assets. Through Community REfund, the members of ANID have found a vehicle to make effective contributions to social development.
